Victoria Leigh Blum, popularly known as Tanya Roberts, was an American actress best known for her roles in Charlie’s Angels, A View to a Kill, Sheena, and That ‘70s Show.
Early Life and Family Background
Roberts didn’t have an easy childhood. Her father was a pen salesman in Manhattan. Her parents got divorced when she was still a kid.
Discovering Her Passion for Acting
Tanya realized that she possessed the potential to become an actress early in her life since she was a beautiful young girl. She got her portfolios done and was already making plans for her future career as an actor.
First Marriage and Its Annulment
She got married at the age of 15 and went on a trip across the United States with her husband. However, Roberts’ mother tracked her down and got the marriage annulled.
Focusing on an Acting Career
Tanya then returned home to focus on her acting and modeling career. She appeared in several commercials and off-Broadway plays. Tanya made her big screen debut in The Last Victim in 1975. She then went on to act in other movies such as Tourist Trap and Nature of the Beast. Roberts also ended up posing for Playboy in 1982.

After acting in several movies, Tanya Roberts was finally catapulted into superstardom when she played the role of Julie Rogers in the final season of Charlie’s Angels.

Her star was on the rise in Hollywood as she landed roles in notable films such as The Beastmaster and Sheena. Tanya even landed a role in the 14th James Bond movie, A View to a Kill in 1985.
Return to Television in That ’70s Show
In 1998, she landed a role in the popular sitcom That ‘70s Show where she played the role of Midge Pinciotti. She was a regular on the show for three seasons but left the show due to her husband’s terminal illness.

Roberts met Barry Roberts, a screenwriter, while they were waiting in line for a movie. The two got married in 1974. The couple had no children and remained married until Barry passed away in 2006. Following the demise of her husband, Tanya started dating Lance O’Brien. The couple never got married.
Health Issues and Passing
On December 24, 2020, Roberts collapsed in her home and was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Hospital where it was determined that she had a urinary tract infection. She passed away on January 4, 2021, at the age of 71.
